History
Agresso (ERP) and CODA (Financial software) joined forces two years ago and the combination has proved a resounding success. Now the company has aligned itself globally under the name ‘UNIT4’, creating a platform for delivering world class products and customer service.
Formed in 1997, the performance of Agresso Ltd has been one of phenomenal success. As other vendors have struggled to maintain their market position and differentiation, the unique characteristics of the Agresso software have resulted in steady growth for the company.
The year 2000 saw the launch of Agresso Business World, Agresso's web-enabled enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution and in 2005, Agresso launched the most advanced version of its system, Agresso 5.5.
In 2006, Agresso consolidated its position in the education market with the acquisition of Distinction Systems (MCA Group). The same year, Agresso Ltd became the first company of its kind to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the trading arm of the Office of Government Commerce (OGC Buying Solutions), offering all Public Sector organisations significant discounts on Agresso software, licences and services.
In 2008 the group acquired finance systems specialist CODA, making it one of Europe’s top ten software vendors with a turnover in excess of €300m.
The UK organisation employs over 660 staff and its diverse client list includes The House of Commons & Lords, Wakefield Metropolitan District Council, The Audit Commission, East Kent Hospitals NHS Trust, The University of Nottingham, Cranfield University, Hull College, Logica plc, and easyJet.
UNIT4 (including the award-winning Agresso and CODA business software solution suites) brings together a wide range of software united by a single philosophy – to help its customers embrace change successfully.
