Christian Salvesen orders CODA's financial intelligence suite to provide Europe-wide analytics via the web

CODA Group, a leading global provider of financial intelligence, accounting and procurement software and part of CODASciSys plc (AIM:CSY), has won a £1.8m order for its financial intelligence solution from leading European logistics company Christian Salvesen plc (LSE:SVC). Salvesen will implement CODA-Intelligence, as well as the complete web-architected CODA-Financials suite, for 300 users in eight European countries. CODA-Consulting will also provide comprehensive training and consultancy services.

Salvesen selected CODA after a comprehensive evaluation process, and will use CODA-Intelligence to extract and analyse data from CODA-Financials and several other applications and present the information via the CODA Portal. "CODA-Intelligence lets us produce reports and monitor KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) with the minimum of manual intervention, giving our decision-makers the business-critical knowledge that can make the difference between getting ahead of the competition and being in the chasing pack," said Peter Aspden, Salvesen's Group Finance Director.

"The CODA solution suite gives us real-time visibility across our entire European operations. It runs on a common platform yet we can personalise and adapt it locally to suit our specific requirements. We can access information from any application through the CODA-Portal, meaning that users can find what they need, when they need it, wherever they are," Peter Aspden continued.

The CODA-Financials suite, running on an IBM DB2/400 relational database, will enable the company to work with a standard chart of accounts across the group that will accommodate local statutory requirements. The CODA-Intelligence financial analytics solution will integrate data from the CODA-Financials backbone and legacy applications.

The Salvesen implementation will include the full CODA-Financials suite as well as CODA-Intelligence, the CODA Portal, CODA e-Finance and CODA e-Procurement. CODA will also provide comprehensive training and consultancy services.
