Stand 245, Grand Hall, Olympia, London - 5-6 March 2003
At Softworld Spring 2003, CODA Group will launch CODA-Dream, its
award-winning financial accounting solution for SMEs. CODA-Dream, previously
SquareSum's DREAM accounting solution, will be integrated with
CODA-Intelligence, the foundation for CODA's Corporate Performance
Management (CPM) solution, to ensure that increasingly sophisticated SMEs
gain levels of business performance information previously only available to
large enterprises. For the first time, this will enable SMEs to monitor,
analyse and report at every level of the business and stay on top of the
factors that drive their business.
Following CODA's acquisition of SquareSum in January 2003 and the rapid
integration of the two businesses, CODA-Dream has been awarded accreditation
by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) under
its IT Accredited Product Scheme which advises SMEs on accounting software.
Baker Tilly, a leading provider of accounting services to SMEs in the UK,
carried out the review of CODA-Dream under the Scheme. The review of
CODA-Dream was rigorous and covered key areas such as security, integration
with other packages and the Web, as well as core accounting functions.
John Oates, Specialist IS Consultancy and Assurance Partner at Baker Tilly
commented: 'I cannot think of a better business fit than CODA's acquisition
of SquareSum, which brings together two award-winning, best-in-class
accounting products. CODA will take DREAM forward strongly by allowing it to
integrate with its other enterprise solutions and providing the highest
levels of support for new and existing customers.
'CODA-Dream is a comprehensive, yet easy-to-use solution that performs
extremely well in all the areas we tested so we were delighted to put it
forward for ICAEW accreditation. Accreditation will help to increase
CODA-Dream's reach across SME markets where chartered accountants often look
to the IT Faculty within the ICAEW for guidance when selecting their
corporate accounting software,' John Oates added.
Senior CODA executives will be attending Softworld, including CEO Jeremy
Roche, CODA's new UK Managing Director Mike Starkings, who was previously
Managing Director at SquareSum, International Marketing Manager David Turner
and Ann Fearnley, CODA's new Channel Manager.
At Softworld, CODA will also demonstrate the advanced Balanced Scorecard
functionality within CODA-Intelligence which allows organisations to measure
performance at every level of the business: from a strategic analytic level
through to operational and transactional levels.
CODA's acquisition of SquareSum
CODASciSys finalised its £9 million acquisition of SquareSum on 7 January
2003. The acquisition brings together two award-winning financial accounting
products to provide accounting solutions from SME through to enterprise level.
The acquisition adds 250 Dream clients in the UK and abroad including
household names such as Inchcape, BAE Systems, Travelex and all:sports. It
increases CODA UK's market share considerably and brings its worldwide
client base to over 2,300. In particular it enhances CODA's presence in the
retail, leisure and financial services sectors.
