Bristol, UK, March 27 2012, UNIT4 Business Software, the UK division of global business software group UNIT4, today announced that Stockport College has implemented and gone live with Student Self Service from the Agresso Campus Platform for Further Education to differentiate the College in a highly competitive sector.Student Self Service presents prospective students with a modern, web based online applications environment to browse, add to basket and select courses via PC, tablet or mobile. It also automatically alerts students to important news, such as acceptance to a course, and because it is fully self-service, allows students to query the progress of each application.
Rated as outstanding, Stockport College provides Further and Higher Education courses and is committed to providing a “high quality service at all times” to over 11,000 students. In a bid to maximise its intake, College management began to consider what extra steps could be made to further improve the student experience.
“We have to embrace new ways of operating to adapt to considerable change,” said Susan Kelly, Application & Customer Liaison Manager at Stockport College. “That means standing out from the crowd and UNIT4’s online applications solution enables us to do this by providing prospective students with a modern and intuitive interface. It goes a long way to creating a great first impression of the college.”
The solution is already helping Stockport College reduce administration by automating much of the applications process. It has also benefited from the flexibility of the Agresso Campus Platform. It took the internal project team just two months to implement the solution and add relevant course details.
