Bristol, UK, May 15 2012, UNIT4 Business Software, the UK division of global business software group UNIT4, today announced that Cranfield University, a wholly postgraduate institution, has selected Agresso HR and Payroll. By integrating the solutions into the existing Agresso Campus Platform the University will streamline business processes across functions and provide improved access to management information. One of the key advantages of the system is its flexibility and configurability, allowing the University to adapt accordingly to any sector and legislative changes. In essence, providing a future proof solution for the changing environment.
When selecting the solutions from UNIT4, Cranfield identified considerable benefits that would come from integrating them into the existing Agresso Campus Platform. While employees will, as now, be able to access and update their own records online through the secure self-service capability Agresso HR and Payroll will provide managers with a comprehensive range of tools to manage their staff across the University..
“We will have the capability to link HR and Payroll information to the Finance, Field Force, Projects and Procurement parts of the Platform,” said Jo Catterill, HR Strategic Projects Manager at Cranfield University. “We operate in an exceptionally dynamic environment but the integrated Platform lets us join up associated business processes across functions. It provides rapid visibility to information we need and the capability to react quickly to change.”
Entered only once, HR and Payroll data can be shared across the wider organisation, providing one view of personnel information to facilitate strategic planning. Finance staff will, for instance, be able to analyse relevant information - the number of full time employees, per department, salaries and the cost of absenteeism. Additionally with improved visibility the HR team will be able to easily find management information they need about the highly skilled workforce to quickly make informed decisions about HR strategy.
“HR and payroll is subject to regular legislative change,” continued Catterill. “The flexibility of Agresso means that we will be able to adapt the system internally without the cost of having to employ external technical consultants.
In addition, Cranfield has also recently gone live with Agresso e-Recruiter which will help the University recruit the best possible staff so that it can continue to improve its position as one of the leading postgraduate research centres in the world.
