Bam Nuttall deploys UNIT4’s BC for £190m Chiltern Railways Contract
27 July 2010
Reading, UK., July 20, 2010: BAM Nuttall has again chosen BC from UNIT4 Collaboration Software Limited as its preferred collaboration system; this time for its Chiltern Railways Evergreen 3 contract. The deal is the third of BAM Nuttall’s high profile projects in the last few months to be using the system.
BAM Nuttall is the main contractor responsible for the design and construction works on the Evergreen 3 project which will create a new faster train line from London Marylebone station to Oxfordshire and the Midlands. This entails improvements to existing railway and the construction of a new line between Bicester and Oxford.
BC allows secure storage of all site documents and easy retrieval by staff and managers working remotely. Email communication between parties is also being handled by the system, allowing access only to the sending and receiving companies, whilst providing a single source of truth.
“We were looking for a system that would store contract documents and correspondence, allow selective sharing of files and improve communication between us, our client and our supply chain partners. We have established a reputation for delivering complex and challenging civil engineering projects and BC is helping us achieve this. Its flexible set-up allows us to tailor the system to different projects, and provides a fully auditable hub for information management,” said Peter Robinson, Area Planning Engineer at BAM Nuttall Ltd.
“BAM Nuttall’s continued use of BC is testament to both the breadth and depth of our software offering and the excellent customer service we provide,” concluded Andrew Bowles, Sales Director at UNIT4 Collaboration Software Ltd.
