Analytic Explorer is a straightforward but powerful analysis tool that enables you to extract key data directly from CODA Financials or from your offline datamart (CODA Intelligence), build multidimensional analysis “cubes” and then view and work with the results using familiar Microsoft® Excel® tools.

It enables users to take data:

• directly from CODA Financials for online analytic browsing – ideal if your reporting and analysis requirements are lower volume and reasonably straightforward. This provides an excellent starting point for improved performance management and a taste of the benefits you could achieve by capitalising on the data in your key business systems.
• from the datamart of CODA Intelligence our sophisticated analytic framework and database, optimised for in-depth, high-volume, offline analysis of financial and other key business data from across the organisation. This datamart approach is ideal for organisations that have more complex, high-volume requirements and where data from multiple business systems is required. In particular, it has the advantages of ensuring consistency, of minimising the impact on the performance of the source systems and of making it easier to cope with subsequent changes to those systems.

Analytic Explorer has been developed in close partnership with Microsoft to capitalise on its proven, widely used technologies (including: the Microsoft® .NET Framework; SQL Server™ 2005 Integration Services and Analysis Services; and Microsoft® Office System, Windows Server™ 2003) to offer a new level of strategic intelligence and analysis to CODA customers.
