The procure-to-pay process involves the moving of key documents and requests around an organisation so that they can be reviewed and approved with the minimum of effort and delay. In each process, there are a number of approval and authorisation requirements. Now you can make document, data and task authorisation quicker and easier for all involved. Workflow applies your approval hierarchy and business rules, delivering information and alerts to the mailboxes and desktops of the people who need them and facilitating swift completion and return.

Workflow is a dynamic, new application that automates cumbersome, repetitive manual administration processes, such as the flow of accounting documents for approval and authorisation. Workflow is Windows-based, giving it a familiar feel, and using the templated workflows, is available to use immediately. This powerful workflow system runs across CODA’s systems with ease (including our custom-developed software). It gives the ultimate in control and efficiency, whilst remaining open and easy to integrate with your other systems, using Web Services. The system can be used with any ERP or finance system, or as an integrated solution for CODA products, including: Financials, Invoice Matching and our procurement applications.

In order to maximise efficiency and flexibility for the end user, Workflow messages will be transmitted to the authorising users via email or SMS. This message provides a link to a browser window. All required actions can be carried out in this browser window.

The new Workflow system has three principal components:

• Workflow Designer - delivers complete flexibility to design the sequence and rules that will drive your workflows
• Position Hierarchy - allows users to construct a hierarchy of positions within their organisation to reflect approval routings
• Browse Workflow - enables users to view and action relevant items in the workflow
