Our DreamView tools build upon and extend Dream’s in-built browsing and reporting functionality, by providing direct, seamless access to external reporting products – helping you to interrogate your data and prepare custom reports.
DreamView is a separately installable and licensable product, and can be deployed on all the current Dream database platforms, including SQL Server and Oracle. It is very simple to implement and extends the power and flexibility of Microsoft® Excel® for Dream users. Users can extract data in two ways: as a once-only, static report OR configured to refresh dynamically to provide an “up-to-the-minute” view. These extracts work on the most popular entities, including Nominals, Accounts, Balances and Budgets. It supports an unlimited number of database connections, allowing cross-company or cross-database reporting. In addition to the familiarity and ease of working with Excel, DreamView enables you to develop reports centrally and then email them to other managers, who can then each update the reports from Dream or investigate the figures further.

Secure, online working
It’s not just the Accounts department who can enjoy the benefits of Dream. Often there are potential users across the organisation, who could be more efficient if they were able to access information directly or carry out a range of day-to-day administrative tasks themselves (instead of using separate, often manual, systems). Dream uses Web Services to extend secure, online access to Dream, to cater for occasional, partial or remote users.
