CODA technology platforms

Thanks to our technology partnership with Microsoft, CODA solutions offer optimum support to get the most from a Microsoft environment but our open architecture also enables deployment across a broad range of hardware, operating system and database combinations.

For example, for CODA Financials, the main hardware platforms supported are:

  • Windows/Intel
  • HP-UNIX servers
  • SUN SPARC
  • IBM pSeries (formerly RS/6000)
  • IBM iSeries (formerly AS/400).

Financials is fully web browser enabled; it can also be accessed through the Microsoft Windows client if required.

A key attraction of CODA – both for customers and for solution partners – is that Financials is supported on a wide matrix of operating system and database server combinations.

  • Supported operating systems include Windows, UNIX, Linux and OS/400. Supported databases include SQL Server, Oracle, Sybase and DB2/400.
  • Supported web servers include Internet Information Server or Apache. As well as Internet Explorer, we also support the Firefox browser platform.
  • The application programming interfaces of Financials are founded on an XML request/response model, supporting .NET, J2EE and Web Services development environments.

In addition, Financials is ideally suited for embedding as the finance engine within any other application suite that you have developed or installed for your business. Users do not even need to be aware that they are using a separate system!

Further details on versions, and on web clients, Windows clients and other supported platforms are available on request.
